Church

Edlesborough Baptist Church, EBC, is an active Christian community in the heart of the village of Edlesborough. We are an independent Baptist Church committed in our desire to love and serve Jesus Christ in our everyday lives. We are a particular Grace Baptist Church linked to the Association of Grace Baptist Churches (South East).

Brief History

The chapel building we meet in dates back to 1835 and the Church was reconstituted as Grace Baptist Church Edlesborough in 2014 following a replanting ministry. In 2022 the Church agreed to change its name to Edlesborough Baptist Church to reflect its location in the community and a renewed vision to serve the village. The Church is under new leadership as we seek to grow as a local Church.

Growing Together

Real relationships matter to us at EBC. Spending time together in fellowship helps build meaningful friendships and helps us grow in our faith in Jesus Christ. We meet to study God’s word, the Bible, and work out what it means to live for Jesus in our community. We seek to love one another, care for one another, encourage one another and bear one anothers burdens. To help with this, we meet once a month for a Sunday fellowship lunch to enoy eating together and once a month to pray together as Church.

Leadership

We believe in Biblical leadership with elders and deacons, as recognised by the Church members with congregational governance. The elders and deacons serve the Church. The elders are responsible for teaching, pastoral care for Church members and oversight of the Church. The deacons are responsible for serving in the church.
